Description

A spooky and refreshing Witch’s Brew Halloween Punch featuring ginger ale, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and lime sherbet, served with a dramatic smoky effect using dry ice. Perfect for Halloween parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 2 liters ginger ale, chilled
  • 4 cups pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (optional)

Other Ingredients

  • 1 tub lime sherbet (~48 oz)
  • 1 block dry ice (around 5 lbs for a 3-hour party)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dry Ice: Break the dry ice into large pieces using a mallet or suitable tool while wearing gloves to avoid burns. Place some of the dry ice at the bottom of your cauldron. Keep the remaining dry ice in a cooler nearby.
  2. Create Smoke Effect: Pour hot water over the dry ice in the cauldron to start the smoking effect.
  3. Assemble Punch Bowl: Position the punch bowl on top of the dry ice inside the cauldron. Combine the ginger ale, pineapple juice, and lemon juice in the punch bowl and stir well.
  4. Add Sherbet: Scoop lime sherbet into the punch bowl and stir gently for a few minutes until the sherbet begins to melt and mix with the punch.
  5. Serve and Maintain: Serve the punch immediately. Replenish dry ice and hot water as needed to keep the smoky effect going throughout the party.

Notes

  • Always handle dry ice with gloves to prevent burns.
  • Do not place dry ice directly into the punch bowl or cups to avoid ingestion risks.
  • Use hot water carefully when creating the smoke effect to avoid splashing.
  • Keep extra dry ice in a cooler to maintain the effect for longer parties.
  • The lemon juice is optional but adds a nice tang to balance sweetness.
