Description

Delight in these festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles made from Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes coated in smooth white chocolate, decorated with red candy drizzle and green sanding sugar for a perfect holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles

Decoration Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling (optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cakes: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them into a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Stir in the festive sprinkles evenly.
  2. Form Cake Balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop out the crumbly mixture and roll it tightly between the palms of your hands to form balls. Place each formed ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all dough is used.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl using the microwave in 30-second increments or by using a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Coat Cake Balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball completely into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt Red Candy Melts: Melt the red candy melts inside a piping bag or a ziplock bag by microwaving in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between each heating until fully melted.
  6. Drizzle and Decorate: Snip the tip of the piping or ziplock bag and drizzle the melted red candy melts over the white chocolate coated truffles. Immediately sprinkle with green sanding sugar for decoration.
  7. Set and Serve: Place the decorated truffles in the fridge for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely before serving. Enjoy your festive treat!

Notes

  • Ensure the cake balls are well chilled before dipping to prevent melting of the chocolate.
  • If you do not have festive sprinkles, you can substitute with colored sugar or holiday-themed sprinkles.
  • Use candy melts instead of real chocolate for easier melting and a smoother finish.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a more intense flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cake crumb mixture before rolling.
